Introduction
Three Wins.

Three Wins.

Rethink time, money and mojo in three minutes or less.

Welcome to week thirty-six of Three Wins where I walk you through my process of launching an online course in 2024.

Even if you are not launching an online course, this will help you think about whatever you will launch.

This week, has been wild.

In Manchester, to see our youngest pick up a first class honours degree.

Then, yesterday we were granted a fellowship by Aberystwyth University.

Now, I am on a ferry to Dublin.

If the type sways up and down, you will know why.

So I am late again with this.

I will get it back to arriving with you on the weekends soon.

This busy patch will soon pass.

  1. Time. 🕰️

This was written back in 1971.

It is called ‘That’s Interesting’.

It is worth reading as it will help you understand the ingredients of interesting. And when you put together courses it will help you.

It asks interesting questions: Where was the attention before it was engaged by the interesting.

Geeky, but good.

A win.

  1. Money. 💰

I thought this super honest from Tiago Forte.

There is a lesson here about keeping your costs down. Plus, his insight about online courses doing less well all round. He calls it the ‘online winter.’

I know I keep saying this. But courses need to be as much as about building a community and it is about capabilities.

A win.

  1. Mojo. 🙏

Last Sunday, I spent all day filming.

I was frustrated because I hadn’t got as much done as I wanted.

Then, around 6.45 pm I went for a swim with Gareth.

We swam. We caught up. The water was crystal clear.

There was no else there. No one. This is high summer.

On the drive back, I couldn’t remember why I felt frustrated.

A win.

As always, I hope this was useful in some way.

Talk next weekend.

Have a good week.

David.
