The right product at the wrong time gets little or no take-up

Timing matters more than you think.

My story.

Yesterday I offered to make a cup of tea for the man who was delivering our new electric car.

He said thank you, but he was fine.

Then.

He put the handbrake on the lorry that was towing the trailer with the car on.

He got out of the lorry and climbed onto the trailer, and then into the car.

He started reversing the new car off the trailer.

Then.

The lorry started moving back down the steep driveway.

1 mph can be fast at times.

The man in the car could do nothing.

The only thing missing was some beautiful operatic music.

Maybe a bit of Delibes.

Then.

The trailer with the new car on crashed into the old car.

He got out and off the trailer.

He put his hands on his knees and looked at the ground.

Then.

I offered to make him a cup of tea.

‘Yes, please – milk, one sugar.’
