Every community will have a token

Just like every brand has a website.

This is hard to believe and easy.

American Express had a board meeting to vote on whether to have a website.

In the early days of the internet, it was not clear just how important the web would be.

So what is now a must was not always obvious.

I say this to give some context to the following.

Every brand will have a community token just like they have a website.

Yes, I am talking about the blockchain.

(DON’T PUT YOUR HEAD IN THE SAND. REMEMBER, YOUR JOB IS TO GET TO THE FUTURE BEFORE OTHERS.)

Reassuringly, there are people who will show you how to get there.

One of my gurus is Raoul Paul.

(I subscribe to his Real Vision channel.)

‘Currently, to have a conversation with your community, you have to rent them back off of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter etc.’

But your community token will allow you to have a direct relationship with your community.

Think of it as the currency of your community.

Your community token will allow them to have early access to your launch.

It will give them a discount every time they buy.

It will give them privileges that a fan will truly value.

And as a token holder, they will get to share in the economic benefits of the community.

Suddenly your culture and community become an asset.

This is big.

The middle man (read the social platform) no longer gets a cut.

A new value system rewards the community.

Hmmm.

It’s ok. You don’t have to get it right now.

But you do have to learn from people who do.

It’s £1 to sign up to Real Vision.

That won’t need a board meeting to sign it off.
